Our Heritage balms were inspired with our precious little ones in mind - "Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward" (Psalm 127:3). These unwhipped balms are crafted in such a way that give you confidence when using them on family members of all ages. Our current option in our Heritage line is the unscented selection, which is comprised of two ingredients - regenerative grass fed and grass finished tallow and organic jojoba oil.
With it being a product comprised of tallow, an animal derived ingredient, it is not completely without scent. It has a light smell that dissipates after application. During the rendering process, we strain out impurities to keep this scent at a minimum.
This is also the perfect product for new and expecting mamas - use on belly and other sensitive areas, even on your newborns in lieu of other moisturizers or diaper creams!
Ingredients: Regenerative grass fed and grass finished tallow, organic jojoba oil
Product in a 2 oz amber glass jar.
*Always dry rendered at a low temperature in stainless steel vessels and strained through unbleached, organic cheesecloth

I am extremely sensitive to any scents and have such a hard time finding unscented products. Upon opening there is a light smell of beef tallow, but it goes away on application. It did not bother me scent wise like other scented products do. Very similar to other all natural products like lanolin. After cleansing, I use aloe and a little bit of jojoba oil and then I melt about a fingernail size of tallow balm into my fingers and put all over my face. My skin has felt plumper, more hydrated, and less irritated and red! I love it and will be incorporating it into my all natural daily face routine. I have also used it on dry itchy patches on my kids skin and it is working well for that! Excited to try more products in the future.
It smells strong. I don’t like that. I wear the thinnest amount possible. It’s not that I expected it to be scented. It just definitely has a beef smell I don’t like.

We are so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the unscented tallow balm. We appreciate the feedback and will update the product description soon so customers have a better idea of how the product will be prior to purchase. Our unscented tallow will not be completely odorless, as it is an animal product. We do work hard to 'clean up' the suet (cutting away meat) prior to grinding and rendering, to minimize scent as much as possible. We hope you'll consider trying one of our scented products in the future!
